About RPIB
The RPIB project aims at improving the level of patient information provided to Egyptians through the provision of evidence based patient information brochures in a simple understandable language to our patients. HRE dreams of spreading the culture of evidence based information at the level of the public to antagonize the uncontrolled streaming of myth based health information coming through media, public or unfortunately healthcare workers.
Since the process of producing such information in a proper way should pass through a complex and rigorous scientific steps, we opted in HRE to translate the patient information produced by reliable world class health organizations or institutions after taking their formal permission. After translation, the brochures will be passed through successive review, feedback, and expert consultations. As in all HRE projects, young students are in the center of responsibility and leadership of the project. In the RPIB , medical and pharmacy students will get trained for how to translate or adapt the international patient information to our community. They will be involved in the review, obtaining feedback from patients and critical evaluation.
